The Kumbhathon Startup Festival, held in January 2025, was a flagship innovation event aimed at transforming large-scale public gatherings through technology and entrepreneurship. Designed as a launchpad for solutions leading up to Kumbh Mela 2027, the festival brought together startups, government leaders, industry experts, and global innovation partners on a single platform.
Over the course of three days, selected startups showcased cutting-edge solutions in areas such as smart infrastructure, crowd management, sustainability, digital public services, and AI-driven technologies. The program encouraged collaborative problem-solving to address real-world urban and logistical challenges associated with hosting one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings.
The festival not only highlighted emerging technologies but also fostered partnerships between innovators and public authorities, positioning Nashik as a forward-looking hub for civic innovation and scalable impact.

The August Startup Festival served as an annual showcase of innovative solutions, bringing together startups, investors, mentors, and administrative leaders to address Kumbh Mela challenges and build scalable impact-driven ventures.
The festival received 125+ applications, with 45+ startups selected, engaging 70+ founders from 13+ states. Through panel discussions, pitch sessions, solution exhibitions, and investor interactions, the event created a dynamic platform for collaboration, visibility, and growth.
